Karen
Corcoran Walsh

Karen has lived
in South Florida since early childhood. She received
her undergraduate degree and her graduate degree from
Florida state colleges, achieving a Bachelor of
Science degree in Education and a Master of Science
degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. She is a
Board Certified Professional Counselor and a Certified
Relationship Specialist. |
Karen has been featured in local magazines, regarding
her businesses and dedication to the profession of addiction
treatment. She has worked in the field of addiction treatment
for 12 years. Karen also appeared on Teen Talk and the
Dr. Phil Show in 2010, discussing the newest drugs of
choice and their impact on our nation's youth.
Karen participates in numerous not-for-profit organizations
focusing on the prevention, intervention, and treatment
of alcohol and drug addiction.
Some of the charities Karen and her husband, Chris Walsh, work
with include the Chris Evert/Raymond James Charity, the
Lorenzo White Foundation, Writers in Treatment, The Prism
Awards and the Entertainment Industry Council (EIC), which
works to promote the accurate depiction of substance abuse
presented in films and the television industry.
